Geometry in sacred art - a creative pilgrimage.
We are excited to share our research with you! Our book explores the use of geometry in Christian art along the pilgrimage route in France & Northern Spain, with a specific focus on the rose window, covering the pre Romanesque, Romanesque & Gothic eras.
Enjoy beautiful images as we weave the relationship between geometry, sacred art & the Camino. You are also invited to experience doing geometry as a Camino as you embark on a creative journey, exploring the beauty of the pilgrimage & its treasures.
What makes our book unique is the large body of step by step constructions. It stands perfectly on its own so that you can practice geometry at home. You also have the opportunity to be guided & supported in your explorations with our free online taster courses & online retreats - poetically tailored to complement the book.
Be a part of the Journey
We are coming to the end of our birthing process with our book after 15 years of research! We now wish to illustrate the book with your designs! At the heart of the Camino is a deeply individual personal journey made along side others. We wish to illustrate this in our book. Consider painting /colouring /quilting /writing inside a rose window which will make up a whole tapestry of roses made by you.
We encourage your own interpretations and ideas of how you might approach this.
You can get the finished rose to us by sending either a head-on flat picture or a scan, before the end of September.

You may feel called to paint your roses using out set set of lovingly hand collected & hand prepared natural pigments by us from Camino earths (instructions of how to use and paintbrush and palettes included). For the moment we only sell the pigments alongside our rose window colouring book (on quality watercolour paper). In purchasing this set, you are helping us with book printing costs! Thank you!
